Users retain existing rights in their content. Uploading does not transfer ownership to Alpha Brands.
Users grant the limited technical rights necessary to host, store, reproduce technical copies, display, transmit, format, compress, resize and create technical previews.
Linking does not create copyright or licensing rights.
Preview/thumbnail use is legally distinct from the external underlying content. Small size alone does not make use lawful.
Content being publicly accessible online does not mean it is public domain.
Content Owner, Content Host, Event Owner, Subject of Applause and Revenue Recipient may be different. Subject status does not create copyright, consent, endorsement or revenue rights.
A photographer may own the photograph while a model is Subject of Applause; a broadcaster may control sports footage while an athlete is Subject; a publisher may control an article while the journalist is Subject.
Music, film, broadcast and event recordings may involve multiple layers of copyright, recording, performer, producer and other rights.
Applause and Reveal do not transfer copyright, ownership, redistribution, republication or resale rights unless expressly licensed.
Private delivery does not remove third-party IP rights. Download or screenshot capability does not itself authorize republication.
Misleading trademark use, false endorsement and unauthorized exploitation of name, likeness, voice or performance are prohibited.
Rights holders may report alleged infringement through Report Content or temporarily via aplaud.me@gmail.com, identifying the protected work/right, the exact URL/Code/Event, basis of rights and reason for infringement.
Affected users may be asked to provide license, authorization, exception or other evidence. Alpha Brands may make platform decisions without purporting to finally adjudicate complex rights disputes.
For externally hosted content, Alpha Brands may disable its own link, preview, Code, Event or monetization but cannot guarantee removal from the third-party host. Alpha-hosted content can be directly restricted.
Repeated serious infringement may result in account or monetization action.
For US-facing UGC, Alpha Brands should complete DMCA agent registration before claiming registered-agent status and should then publish matching notice/counter-notice details.
